Purchasing a suppressor from Carbon Research USA requires compliance with ATF regulations for National Firearms Act (NFA) items. Follow these steps to complete your purchase:
Visit our All Products page to select the suppressor(s) that best suit your needs. Complete your purchase through your authorized retailer/FFL or directly with us.
Identify a licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer with Special Occupational Tax (SOT) status in your home state. You can find an FFL near you using the ATF’s FFL EZ Check tool. Provide your FFL’s details to us within 48 hours of purchase by emailing domingo@carbonresearchusa.com. We will ship the suppressor(s) to your FFL once the necessary Form 3 transfer is approved by the ATF (typically 10–30 days).
Once the suppressor(s) arrive at your FFL, schedule an appointment to inspect the suppressor(s) and complete the required paperwork. Your FFL will guide you through the next steps.
Your FFL will help you create an account on the ATF’s e-Forms system. Together, you’ll fill out the necessary Form 4 paperwork online to transfer the suppressor(s) to you. This includes providing personal information, fingerprints, and a passport-style photo, as required by the ATF.
After your Form 4 application is approved by the ATF (processing times vary and can be checked on the ATF website), you can pick up your suppressor from the FFL and start enjoying your Carbon Research USA product.
